PM²
Alliance is an international, non-profit organization, which gathers individuals
from institutions, companies, and the academia, with a goal to share
experience, resources, and solve the field’s challenges. The Alliance supports
professional growth of its members, with a belief that effective management of
projects is the key for organizations, and the society, for successfully
dealing with challenges. PM² Alliance
gives its members opportunities for life-long learning, career development,
professional networking, as well as certification.
PM² Methodology
PM² is a project management methodology developed
and supported by the European Commission. The methodology aims to enable
project managers to deliver solutions and create benefits to their
organizations through effective project management throughout the entire
lifecycle. The Methodology was founded by combining operational experience from
projects run by European Institutions with elements from globally accepted best
practices, standards, and methodologies for project management, such as PMBOK
Guide, PRINCE2, and IPMA-ICB.
It was created to adapt to the environment and needs
of European Union institutions and public administration, but considering that
it contains parts of a large number of globally accepted methodologies,
standards and good examples for project management, it is suitable for project
management in many industries. This European project management methodology aims to
establish a common language and common project management processes within and
among European organizations, both in the public and private sectors. The
PM² methodology aims to increase the efficiency and success rate of projects in
Europe. This methodology is easy to implement and lean – it
minimizes waste in the process of project realization. In this way, PM² Methodology contributes in managing projects effectively and delivering better
results for the organization which is running the project, as well as for
stakeholders of the project.
PM² Certification
The PM² Alliance certification program is designed to
validate knowledge of the PM² methodology at various levels. The PM2 Alliance Certification
programme is available to all – individuals, organizations, EU funded projects,
as well as trainers. The PM2 Alliance offers six levels of certification and is
open to everyone.
